Alta's honeycomb (cellular) shades trap air in their cells to help insulate windows. They come in several cell sizes and a wide range of fabrics and opacities, including vertical versions for sliding doors.
Alta roller shades give a clean, simple look with fabrics from sheer to room darkening. The line also includes a panel-track version for sliding doors and wide windows.
Banded (also called dual or zebra) shades layer alternating solid and sheer stripes. Aligning the bands blocks light and gives privacy, while offsetting them lets filtered light through.
Sheer shadings hang soft fabric vanes between two sheer panels. Tilting the vanes moves the shade from a filtered view to full privacy, and Alta says its fabrics avoid the wavy moiré effect.
